Audio and Video out of sync

Okay, so some of you know that i've been chucking some final fantasy video's online for youtube, aswell as rockband 2 and various other random things.

I have no idea why it's started to do this now but for some reason the sound just goes way off in my videos during the recording process and at this point in time, i can't go back to the party I recorded and re-record it as my save part in final fantasy 7 is further along in the game.

The programs I use are

Sony Vegas 9.0
Pinnacle Studio 17
Dr.Divx
Insant DVD Recorder

They're some of the different ones that I've recorded / encoded my games in.

Now the video's I've done recently, have been in Pinnacel Studio 17, and at this stage my ff7 video is way out of sync and I've tried 3 times in Virtual Dub to try and get this sound in order.

Is there any way I can get the audio to match the video other than virtual dub ? Or am I just doing the settings wrong for virtual dub.

Settings for Virtual Dub.

Video > Menu :
Secure Rate Adjustment = Change so video and audio durations match (29.90fps)

Tried a few different video compressions and a few different audio compressions (mostly pick LAME Mp3 192kbps ABR Stereo 24KB/s 48000Hz

Any help will be majorly appreciated as I don't wanna start a new game just to record this part again.

Recorded settings was

Compression
MJPEG - width 720 height 480 Framerate 29.97 with quality set to 95%

Audio
Compression = PCM 16bit Stereo 48kHz

Was mucking around in vegas, I could get the audio matching for liek 2 seconds but it takes less than that to go out of sync again.

Still mucking around in sony vegas by moving the audio slightly till it matchs.
But even when I get it matching for most of it, it still takes next to no time for other parts to go out of sync.

Starting to think I have no other choice but to re-record but that will mean starting an entire new game and i'm near the end of the disc.
